Tsar, Sardinha and Assis Win Medalist Tour Event at Plantation Preserve Golf Course and Club
Fort Lauderdale, FL - The South Florida PGA Medalist Tour completed its first midweek event of the summer, Thursday at Plantation Preserve Golf Course and Club.

Pavel Tsar of Palm Beach Gardens, carded two consecutive under-par rounds that included 10 birdies and only three bogeys or worse through the 36-hole stretch. Tsar wrapped the event at 6-under 68-70–138, outlasting five other players who finished the event under-par.
While only carding one bogey over the two-days, Aidan Miller of Palm Beach Gardens, finished the 36-hole event at 5-under 70-69–139, claiming his second runner-up finish of the season.
In the girls 13-18 division, concluding the event at 6-over 76-74–150, Nicole Sardinha of Doral claimed first place honors by two shots. Sardinha was able to take advantage of the par 5s both days, as she went 1-under over eight combined par 5s.
Finishing runner-up in scorecard playoff, Jade Scott of Lauderhill finished the event at 8-over 71-81–152, including the tournament low-round for the girls of 1-under 71 in the first round.
Starting the event with a bogey-free 70, Bento Assis of Porto Alegre, Brazil matched the tournament low-round of any age division with a 4-under 68 in the second round. Assis won the boys 11-12 division by nine shots.
Sarp Gurdogan of Palm Beach Gardens, finished runner-up with scores of 72-75–147, 3-over.
The event also doubled as a South Florida Junior PGA Championship Qualifier, the last qualifier before the Major will take place on June 13-14 at Stonebridge Country Club. The top seven boys and top four girls scores after round one were able to advance.

Girls - Nicole Sardinha (Doral), Jennie Pan, (Delray Beach), Angelina Marie Guertin (Boynton Beach) and Ana Victoria Soto (Weston)
