The Pros Go Low at Tournament Series No. 1
June 20 – Will Coleman, PGA of The Club at Admirals Cove and Domenico Geminiani of Old Corkscrew Golf Club tied for first in Tournament Series No. 1 Monday at The Club at Gateway.

Coleman and Geminiani fired a pair of 65’s to win the one-day stroke-play event ahead of this week’s E-Z-GO South Florida Open.
Coleman’s day was highlighted by eight birdies, four on each nine, with only one bogey coming at the par-5 9th hole for a round of 7-under. Geminiani fired five birdies on the day but vaulted into the first spot after carding an eagle at the par-5 18th hole to round out his bogey-free round.
Coming in with a round of 66 was runner-up Justin Bertsch, PGA of Club Pelican Bay, only finishing a stroke behind but who’s round was also boosted due to an eagle at the par-4 6th hole. Also tying for third is John Lento, PGA of The Club at Renaissance, who posted five birdies and no bogey’s on the day, including three straight birdies to close out his front nine.
In addition, Jason Robinson, PGA of The Country Club at Mirasol, made a hole-in-one on No. 4 to jumpstart his round of 70.
The Tournament Series No. 1 is annually played ahead of the South Florida Open on one of the two courses. This year’s event was presented by Foresight Sports and supported by Tagmarshal.
The South Florida Open will tee off tomorrow at The Club at Gateway and Miromar Lakes Golf Club with a full 168-person field.
