Mike Bove, PGA Named Assistant Professional of the Year supported by Srizon/Cleveland
West Palm Beach, FL - Mike Bove, PGA Assistant Professional at Boca West Country Club has been named the 2022 Assistant Golf Professional of the Year supported by Srixon/Cleveland.
The Assistant of the Year award recognizes the individual’s overall performance as an assistant through his/her willingness to accept the responsibility, promotion of the game and his/her promotion of the overall image of the PGA.
“I am humbled and honored to have been recognized by the South Florida PGA Section as the Assistant Golf Professional of the Year,” said Bove. ”This award would not have been possible without having the opportunity to work for exceptional leadership.”
Bove first joined the team at Boca West Country Club in 2008 as an Associate before obtaining his full PGA membership in October of 2011. Since then, Bova has played a key role in many different areas as an Assistant Professional at Boca West.
While having a broad skill set, Bove has his hands in several fields including, staff training, financial review, retail management, instruction, tournament play and member programming.
Bove says the leadership at Boca West has allowed him to grow and be successful within the industry and described how that leadership starts from the top.
“For 14 years, I have been given the freedom to think big, embrace change, always learn from failure and recognize that you’re always on stage,” explained Bove.
The Assistant of the Year Award is one of the South Florida PGA’s annual awards. The SFPGA will honor each recipient at their individual facilities amongst members, friends and family.
