10th Annual Quail Valley Pro-Am Raises Nearly $10,000 to Support South Florida PGA Foundation Programs
Vero Beach, FL - The South Florida PGA conducted its 10th Annual Quail Valley Pro-Am, benefitting the SFPGA Foundation today at Quail Valley Golf Club, raising nearly $10,000.
The money raised will directly support the
SFPGA Foundation which strives to impact the lives of many in the south Florida community through the game of golf.
This year's event consisted of 27, two-person teams of a PGA Professional or Associate along with an amateur competing in an 18-hole, better-ball stableford point system (Net & Gross) format.
David Carey and Matt Avril finished atop of the Gross Division with 56 points, two points better then the three teams who tied for second. With two eagles, including the par-4, fourth hole, Avirl tallied 12 points between those two holes alone.
In the Net Division, Ryan Isaacson and Terry Arenson of Quail Valley Golf Club took home first place honors with 63 points, edging out Bob Mallek, PGA and Shawn O’Toole of The Club at Emerald Hills by five points. The duo of Isaccson and Arenson managed three eagles to go along with eight birdies, routing them to the win.
Justin Hicks, PGA of Stonebridge Golf Club secured his third low-professional win at this event with 48 points. Hicks turned in a clean scorecard that included a 4-under back-nine, wrapping the event at 5-under. Greg O’Mahony of Celtic Golf finished in second with 46 points, two behind Hicks.
The 10th Annual Quail Valley Pro-Am was presented by Tire Kingdom, along with supporting partners, Heritage Creations and Sailfish Brewing Company. Thank you to Quail Valley Director of Golf and SFPGA Section President, Don Meadows, PGA and his entire team for making this event so successful.
