With a goal of partnering with a national charity, the South Florida PGA Foundation board of directors, selected Habitat for Humanity as a non-profit organization that was impacting lives and could provide professionals an avenue to get involved in the community off the golf course. With the goal of building 14 homes, one in each county of the Section, including Puerto Rico, the SFPGA Foundation donates $50,000 to each project along with more than 250 hours of sweat equity from countless PGA Professionals. With each project, lives are changed, including the lives of those who volunteer to work alongside the families purchasing the homes.
