The Preserve at Ironhorse’s Morneau and Turpen Win the 2023 Pro-Assistant Championship
West Palm Beach, FL - Tim Turpen, PGA and Maddox Morneau, PGA of The Preserve at Ironhorse won the 2023 South Florida PGA Pro-Assistant Championship, presented by Club Car today with a two-day total of 12-under.

The Pro-Assistant was hosted for the first time by Emerald Dunes Club and The Park West Palm, both courses making their Section tournament debut.
Over the two days, 94 teams of two, composed of a PGA Club Professional and Assistant Professional from the same facility, competed in three different formats. At Emerald Dunes, teams played a four-ball format for all 18 holes while playing a modified alternate shot on the front-nine at The Park and a team scramble on the back-nine.
Turpen and Morneau managed only one bogey to go along with 13 birdies, routing their way to a one shot victory over The Club at Gateway, Bonita Bay Club West - Bay Island and Trump National Doral Golf Club.
“Maddox and I finished in the top-three at least twice before, losing by one shot,” explained Turpen. “To finally get to the top felt great and to be able to represent the club and our membership was great.”
The 2023 Pro-Assistant marked the fifth time Turpen, PGA General Manager at The Preserve at Ironhorse and Maddox, PGA Assistant Professional at The Preserve at Ironhorse have competed together, finishing in the top-10 every time.
