South Florida PGA Partners with 16-year-old Junior Tour Member, Cameron Swartz for 100 Holes of Golf Fundraiser
The South Florida PGA Foundation is thrilled to join in partnership with Cameron Swartz, a 16-year-old SFPGA Junior Tour member who is shining a light on the Smiling Fore Life Program with the goal of raising $5,000 during his 100 HOLES OF GOLF fundraiser.
On July 18th, Cameron will play 100 HOLES OF GOLF at Lost City Golf Club in Atlantis, Florida, raising money for the South Florida PGA Foundation and the Smiling Fore Life program.
Cameron’s passion to help others stemmed from his brother being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2013. Cameron described the experience as tough but an experience he will never forget. “Everyday after school I would come down to Hollywood with my Grandma or Dad to visit Harrison, bringing stories from my day at school, '' he said. “But also, playing with a fisher price golf set in the play area of the pediatric unit.”
Once Cameron caught wind of the Smiling Fore Life program, he knew there was a bigger opportunity to make an impact in the lives of others.
“I am an avid golfer and have decided to partner with the South Florida PGA and their Smiling Fore LIfe Charity to provide young hospital patients an outlet to escape the hardships they are facing,” he said. “The funds I will raise will help to get young kids out of their hospital rooms and out to enjoy a fun and new activity, GOLF!”
As of June 30th, Cameron is a quarter of the way to his goal of raising $5,000, already raising over $1,500. To support Cameron and the Smiling Fore Life program, please consider pledging a donation
