Sandridge Golf Club and The Club at Emerald Hills Win the 2024 Travel Pro-Am
Bela Nagy, PGA and Sandridge Golf Club win the Rosapenna Classic while Bob Mallek, PGA and The Club at Emerald Hills win the Mill Park Open during the 2024 Travel Pro-Am in Northwest Ireland.
The 2024 Travel Pro-Am featured 13 teams of one South Florida PGA Professional combined with three amateurs, competing over five days, across five different courses in Northwest Ireland - Rosapenna Golf Club (Sandy Hills Links), Rosapenna Golf Club (St. Patrick's Links), Ballyliffin Golf Club (Glashedy Course), Donegal Golf Club and Narin & Portnoo Golf Club.
The first two rounds were played at Rosapenna Golf Club’s St. Patrick’s Sandy Hills Links and St. Patrick’s Links courses, making up the Rosapenna Classic. Nagy, PGA Director of Golf at Sandridge Golf Club and his team of Dan Gaines, Adam Preuss and Michael Paolin combined for a 21-under total, defeating Gyles Robin and his team by four shots.
The final three rounds were played at Ballyliffin Golf Club (Glashedy Course), Donegal Golf Club and Narin & Portnoo Golf Club to make up the Mill Park Open. Mallek, PGA Director of Instruction at The Club at Emerald Hills and his team of Shawn O’Toole, Tasso Sterghos and Tracy Henning completed the three rounds at 16-under, defeating Don Meadows, PGA and his team from Quail Valley Golf Club by five shots.
Spallone, PGA Director of Instruction at Quail Valley Golf Club secured low-pro honors with a three-day total of 185 points, 13 points better than fellow Quail Valley Golf Club Teaching Professional Ryan Isaacson. All professionals competed in a stableford format.
