Quail Ridge Wins First-Ever South Florida PGA Pro-Lady

ATLANTIS, FL – Quail Ridge Country Club took home the inaugural South Florida PGA pro-Lady yesterday at Sailfish Point Golf Club in Stuart.
Michael Korenoski, PGA Head Professional at Quail Ridge, Janet Kelly, Arlene Alessi and Lesley Barnes shot a 72 and edged out three groups in a scorecard playoff to be named champions.
Ralph Garofano, PGA Assistant Golf Professional at Eastpointe Country Club who was joined by Janet Bean, Laura Lassman and Karen Detmering; Brett Martin, PGA Head Professional at Coral Ridge Country Club who teamed up with Phyllis Thomas, Darlene Fox and Dennise Bryan and Joseph Demino, PGA Director of Golf at Gleneagles Country Club , Betty Wolk, Ellen Mermelstein and Brenda King each tied for second after the scorecard playoff determined the winner.
The teams, comprised of one professional and three female amateurs, played 18 holes of team stroke play with one best ball on the pars 4s and par 5s and two best balls on the par 3s.
In addition to the team competition, Victor Totorici, PGA and Danny St. Louis, PGA tied for the Low Professional with a pair of two-under 70s.
