PGA Works Fellow Helps Change Lives Through Golf at Belle Glade High School
Belle Glade- After spending some time with the Honda Classic, JT Moore joined the SFPGA team in April of 2022. Since then, Moore has played a vital role in the Junior Golf department, the SFPGA Foundation and as an assistant coach for the Glades Central High School Golf Teams.

In partnership with Santonio Holmes 10 All In Foundation, the South Florida PGA Foundation continues to support the Glades Central Boy’s and Girl’s Golf teams as they begin introducing more students to the game. The SFPGA provided the students with golf clubs, bags, training aids and new team uniforms.
Since August, Moore has visited the Belle Glade area twice a week and coached the team during practices and matches.
“I enjoy working with the kids and giving them information that was once given to me,” Moore explained.

In only its second year with a golf program, the Glades Central High School Golf Teams have many players that are new to the game. Moore uses this opportunity to instill the life lessons that the game provides by coaching the students on how to properly set up and swing the golf club, giving the team drills to practice when at home or at the course by themselves.
“I enjoy seeing the looks on their faces when they make solid contact with the club, and the urge to become better is quite contagious amongst the team,” Moore stated.
Through the lessons golf instills, the SFPGA Foundation and JT Moore have been able to impact several kids’ lives throughout the Belle Glade area with a goal of increasing that number in the months and years to come.
