Andres Rodriguez and Kim Egozi Win 27th Annual Patty Berg Junior Championship

July 26th, 2019

NAPLES, FL – To both Andres Rodriguez and Kim Egozi, winning the 27th Annual Patty Berg Junior Championship meant more than winning a South Florida PGA Junior Tour Major or any golf tournament.
Rodriguez, originally from Chile, played in his first golf tournament on American soil this week at Wyndemere Golf Club. A tournament he won by seven strokes, shooting a three-day total 221, five over par.
Meanwhile Egozi competed in her last tournament before heading to Florida Atlantic University to begin her freshman season on the women’s golf team. Egozi proved to be ready for the college ranks, winning the Girl’s 13-18 division by 11 strokes. The Bonita Springs native shot a seven-over 223 to capture the championship.
Finishing behind Rodriguez was Tommy Amendola who began play on Wednesday with a one-over 73, finished the tournament 79-76 for a 12-over par finish.
On the Girl’s side, Nicole Yugay went 76-77-81 to go 12-over for the tournament and caption second place.
The Patty Berg Junior Championship is the fourth of six majors played throughout the South Florida PGA Junior Tour season. For more information and to view a full list of results click here.
