Park Ridge Golf Course and The Club at Ibis Win the 2023 Club Car Pro-Official
Palm Beach Gardens, Fl - The Club Car Pro-Official was contested yesterday at BallenIsles Country Club with Chuck Schmiedel, PGA and teammate, Sean Steinemann winning the net division and Alan Morin, PGA and David Buckner winning the gross division.
Additionally, Morin, a PGA Assistant Professional at The Club at Ibis, took home low professional honors with his 7-under 65, beating out Colin Amaral, PGA by three shots. Morin managed a clean scorecard despite heavy winds and light rain throughout the day.
Schmidel, the General Manager of Park Ridge Golf Course and his teammate, Steinemann fired a 9-under 63. Their round was highlighted by a 7-under 29 on the back-nine that included an eagle on the par-5 17th hole.
Morin and his partner, Buckner were only one shot back, carding a bogey-free 64 that included an eagle on the par-5 third hole to win the gross division.
After being canceled in April due to inclement weather, the event was played yesterday and consisted of 48 teams with one PGA Professional and an Official from the same facility, competing in an 18-hole best-ball format.
In addition to the 18-hole tournament, supporting partner, TopTracer provided a special par-3 contest on the driving range, utilizing the impressive TopTracer technology to allow players to play a simulated par-3, taking the combined distance to the pin of both the Pro and Official to determine a champion.
BallenIsles Country Club served as the host facility, spoiling each contestant with a buffet style brunch as well as cocktails and a full buffet for dinner following play.
