Morin, Mielke and Brown Represent the South Florida PGA in Historic KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship
Mark Brown, PGA, Alan Morin, PGA and Mark Mielke, PGA joined an elite group as participants in the 83rd KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, the first major championship held at PGA Frisco, the new home of the PGA of America.

Morin, Mielke and Brown all qualified for the Senior PGA Championship by way of the Senior PGA Professional Championship, where they each finished in the Top-35, joining the Corebridge Financial PGA Team. While Brown, now a PGA Teaching Professional at The Yacht and Country Club is a South Florida PGA Member, he did qualify while a member of the Metropolitan Section.
The major marked Brown’s third trip to the Senior PGA Championship and his second time sharing PGA low-pro honors, finishing in a tie with Tim Weinhart, PGA of the Georgia Section.
Brown’s four-day total of 6-over was enough to finish T-55, beating two-time U.S. Ryder Cup Captain and 1997 PGA Champion Davis Love III and 2016 KitchenAid Senior PGA Champion Rocco Mediate.
“Anytime you can get Low Club Professional at a major championship is awesome,” said Brown. “It means the world, and it's kind of the goal coming here — make the cut and then try to get Low Club Pro.
Morin, PGA Assistant Professional at The Club at Ibis also made his third Senior PGA Championship start, missing the cut by three shots. Mielke, PGA Teaching Professional at High Ridge Country Club made his ninth PGA Championship start and missed the cut by four shots.
The 83rd KitchenAid Senior PGA Professional Championship was the first Major ever to be played at the new PGA of America Headquarters at PGA Frisco at Field Ranch Frisco.
