Kenny Leech, PGA and Ellijah Zamarron Take the South Florida PGA Pro-Scratch
Palm City - Kenny Leech, PGA of the Don Law Golf Academy and amatuer, Ellijah Zamarron won the South Florida PGA Pro-Scratch Championship, Tuesday at Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club.

Kenny Leech, PGA of the Don Law Golf Academy and amatuer, Ellijah Zammarron won the South Florida PGA Pro-Scratch Championship, Tuesday at Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club.
The duo fired a two-day total of 17-under par to edge out Andrew Filbert, PGA of the West Bay Club and amatuer, James Tureskis (-16).
“I was really excited to do it with him,” Leech said. “I have been coaching Ellijah since he was eight.”
Leech and 16-year-old Zammarron, who fired a 10-under on Harbor Ridge Yacht and Country Club’s Golden Marsh course on Monday, carded 18 birdies against one bogey throughout the 36 holes. No birdie was more important than the three they made down the stretch, birdying 16, 17 and 18 to win the event outright.
The teaching professional out of the Don Law Golf Academy and the South Florida PGA Junior Tour member split duties evenly, both tallying eight birdies.
“The whole front nine it seemed like only one of us was in the hole,” explained Leech. “We kept managing it and working together.”
The two-day, 36-hole Championship consisted of 186 players across 93 two-person teams of a professional and amatuer playing a four-ball stroke-play format. All teams played both the River Ridge and Golden Marsh courses.
This event would not be possible without the help of presenting partner Foresight Sports and supporting partners: Ahead, Bushnell, Aurora Anguilla, Therabody, The Golf Clinic and Player Brand Biltong.
Thank you to Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club, Director of Golf, Joe Beezup, PGA and his entire team for all their help.
