(July 9, 2019) - Colin Amaral of the Country Club at Mirasol and Jared Isaacs of Adios had come close to winning the Yamaha Pro-Pro Championship. They finished in the top five two years ago and finished as runners-up last year after losing in a playoff. Tuesday, they finished the job.
Amaral and Isaacs shot a 6-under 65 for a 15-under 128 to win the Yamaha Pro-Pro Championship by a stroke over Rick Sutton of Broken Sound Club and Christopher Stanko of Banyan Golf Club of Palm Beaches.
""We came here hungry for the win,"" Isaacs said.
They led by one after the first round and birdied two of the first three holes and had to wait out a four-hour rain-delay. The winners built a three-shot lead and won despite a bogey on the final hole.
""We always had some momentum going,"" Amara said. ""It was a very low-stress round. Our goal was to come back and win.""
The tournament was played at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club and Pelican March Golf Club. Five teams tied for third place at 130: David Ladd of The Champions Club and Paul Scaletta of The Bear's Club, Sean O'Donnell of Countryside and Alastair Mackenzie of Mayacoo Lakes, Jeremy Wells of Amico Family Golf Center and Michael Welch of Bonita National and Austin Davenport and Dylan Jensen of Dye Preserve and Jonathan Pazdera and David Guy of Cypress Lake Country Club.
