The SFPGA Championship Tour held its third tournament of the season at Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne. This weekend’s field featured 47 of south Florida’s top junior players.
Graham Boone of Naples claimed the boys 13-18 division title after carding a 72-74, 146. His two-over-par finish included seven birdies during his two rounds. This is Boone’s first win on the Championship Tour. Bennett Stone of Jupiter finished two strokes behind Boone after carding back-to-back rounds of 74.
Vanessa Borovilos of Toronto secured the girls 13-18 division title. Borovilos’ two-day score of two-over-par, 146, saw her hole eight birdies. After carding a 74 during her first round, Borovilos came back on day two to card an even round on Sunday. This marks her first win on the Junior Tour. Angela Nip of Port St. Lucie finished three strokes behind Borovilos to earn second place, with a total of four birdies for the weekend.
Boone and Borovilos will each be receiving four AJGA stars for their win as well as the top 10% of boys and girls will each receive one star.

The South Florida PGA Junior Championship Tour is a series of two-day events at some of South Florida’s premier facilities. Membership is invitation only. Juniors are invited based on the previous year’s Junior Tour scoring average and point standings and current year’s performance prior to session checkpoints.
