Bo Preston, PGA, a member of the South Florida PGA Section and the PGA General Manager at The Links at Boynton Beach, is the 2026 Patriot Award recipient. The honor goes to a PGA of America Golf Professional who personifies patriotism through the game of golf and demonstrates unwavering commitment and devotion to the men and women who have valiantly served and protected the United States of America.
A PGA Member for more than 26 years, and the 2021 South Florida PGA Section Patriot Award Winner, Bo has been an advocate of PGA HOPE since the program’s inception, having successfully hosted more than 30 PGA HOPE instructional programs along with golf leagues, outings and special events, while positively impacting the lives of more than 700 Veterans and their families.
In addition to serving as lead instructor for PGA HOPE programs, Preston has transformed The Links to serve as a safe haven and welcoming “golf hub” for Veterans across Palm Beach County, offering a line-up of golf programming and special events for PGA HOPE graduates, that focuses on staying active and building camaraderie on the golf course. Preston leads 13 PGA of America and LPGA members who are PGA HOPE certified instructors at The Links, and he is currently mentoring two PGA HOPE graduates going through the process to become PGA Members.
The "HOPE Has a Home Golf League," which Preston started in April 2023 with just 13 Veterans, boasts a membership of 162 Veterans today and continues to grow. His passion for Veteran programs also led to the creation of the Valor Cup, a Ryder Cup-style event featuring 36 PGA HOPE graduates from the PGA HOPE programs of Fairwinds Golf Course (Vero Beach) and The Links at Boynton Beach. Participating Veterans are treated to a first-class event complete with Opening Ceremonies, team uniforms and a trophy presentation.
A well respected PGA Member, Preston is also a longtime supporter of Patriot Golf Days.
