Wyndemere Country Club Wins Challenge 1 of the 2018 Ireland Travel Pro-Am

This week 17 teams comprised of one PGA Professional and three amateur golfers are visiting Southern Ireland competing in the 2018 Travel Pro-Am.  The first two rounds, conducted July 30th and 31st at Dooks Golf Links and Waterville Golf Club marked the first competition of two held throughout the week.  At Dooks all teams competed in a two best ball format and while at Waterville the format was one best ball.

The overall champions of the first event firing 199 (-15) total for the two days was Wyndemere Country Club, team comprised of PGA Professional Tim Miller and amateurs Dan Clay, Mike Busalacchi  and Mike McNamara.  In addition to the team competition, Don Meadows, PGA and Danny St. Louis, PGA split first place shoting 149 (+6) in the professional stroke play competition. 

The final three rounds will be held August 1st - 3rd and will be treated as a separate event.
