Jenny Suh, PGA of The Dye Preserve has claimed the 2020 Women's Section Championship title. Suh carded a 66-72 to go six-under-par for the tournament. After enduring some tough weather conditions during round one, Suh went on to post seven birdies on Monday, five of which were on the back nine.
Heather Angell, PGA of Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club finished in second place with a three-under-par. Alex Jacobsen, PGA of Everglades Club placed second with a two-over-par finish.
The name of the trophy holds a special story. The trophy was named after Pam Brosnihan, PGA Professional at Quail Ridge from 1992 until she passed in 2014 when she lost her fight against cancer. The South Florida PGA continues to strive to keep her legacy alive through events of this nature.
The SFPGA would like to thank Dan Brosnihan, PGA and his team at The Club at Quail Ridge for hosting and their continuous support of women's golf. The Women's Section Championship was partnered by Hath and True Spec Golf, who helped make this inaugural event possible.
