South Florida PGA Professionals Tee it Up in 33rd Annual Senior PGA Professional Championship

The 33rd Annual Senior PGA Professional Championship began this morning at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie.


These South Florida PGA Professionals will be teeing it up this week including Tim Cantwell, PGA (PGA National Golf Club) | Gene Fieger, PGA (Club Pelican Bay) | Daniel Heaslip, PGA (Windstar on Naples Bay) | Roger Kennedy Jr., PGA (The Country Club at Mirasol) | John Lee, PGA (Imperial Golf Club) | Mark Mielke, PGA (High Ridge Country Club) | Alan Morin, PGA (The Club at Ibis) | Peter Oakley, PGA (Life Member) | Mike San Filippo, PGA (Life Member) | Jack Shoenfelt, PGA (Oriole Golf & Tennis Club) | Mike Strlekar, PGA (Woodfield Country Club) | Jerry Tucker, PGA (Jerry Tucker Golf) | Mike Valicenti, PGA (Mayacoo Lakes Country Club) | Eric Veilleux, PGA (The Bear's Club) | David Witt, PGA (Talis Park Golf Club).

The 15 South Florida PGA Professionals qualified for the championship by way of the South Florida PGA Senior Professional Championship held in August at Banyan Cay Golf Resort and Club. Shoenfelt won this event after posting a 5-under 139 over the two-day tournament.

The Senior PGA Professional Championship is a national championship for qualifying senior (age 50 and up) PGA Professionals from across the country. The top 35 PGA Professionals will qualify for the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, a major on the PGA TOUR Champions Tour.
