Lee & Valicenti, Co-Champions in Tournament Series #2 Event

One day in advance of the 2018 South Florida PGA Professional Championship, a Tournaments Series event was contested on the North Course of The Club at Mediterra providing players with an opportunity to prepare for the final major of the season while competing in a one-day stroke play event. 

With perfect conditions on a pristine golf course, John Lee, PGA General Manger at Imperial Golf Club and Mike Valicenti, PGA Assistant Golf Professional at Jonathan's Landing Golf Club at Old Trail both fired rounds of 66 to become co-champions.  Lee, the 1995 Champion of the SFPGA Professional Championship fired a bogey free round featuring one eagle on hole number 15 earning him a skin in addition to his purse winnings.  Valicenti's round featured seven birdies and one bogey placing him in a tie with Lee for top honors.

In addition to their victories today, they both earned points in the race for Player of the Year along with the Challenge Cup points races.
