Wendell J. Haskins, Founder of the Original Tee, has donated $9,175 to the South Florida PGA Foundation to support STEAM and Golf for youth.
Through the Original Tee, Haskins has made it his mission to expose and nurture diverse participation in the game and business of golf.
“When I heard what 10 ALL IN and the South Florida PGA Foundation was doing, I had to get involved,” said Haskins. “I appreciate what is being done here to grow the game and for Santonio to bring it back to his hometown with the South Florida PGA is unbelievable.”
The South Florida PGA has recently partnered with Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes and his foundation 10 ALL IN to bring golf and STEAM to underserved communities.
Starting with Belle Glade, where Holmes grew up, the SFPGA Foundation and 10 ALL IN wrapped up a week-long Golf and STEAM Summer Camp at Glades Central High School this week.
The Foundations were joined by 30 Glades Central high school students and SFPGA Professionals who introduced golf to the students, as well as engineers from Pratt & Whitney who guided an engineering project.
The success of the week is just the first step for the SFPGA Foundation and 10 ALL IN who look forward to many more programs in the future to touch the lives of future generations.
