Jeff Waber, PGA Wins Global Golf Sales Cup at The Seagate Country Club

October 4th, 2021

Jeff Waber, PGA Director of Golf at The Old Course at Broken Sound Club, fired a 65 on Monday at The Seagate Country Club to secure the win at this year’s Global Golf Sales Cup, presented by Global Golf Sales. Ninety-eight PGA Professionals competed for a part of this year’s impressive $35,000+ purse.

The format of the Global Golf Sales Cup is an 18-hole Stableford competition based on assigned player quotas. The objective in Stableford is to have the highest score – unlike traditional scoring methods. Players who qualified for this event were awarded a point quota determined by their 2021 Tournament Performance (stroke average) as well as input from the committee.

Waber’s seven-under-par finish earned him 13 points for the day. His quota was set at 37 and having scored a 50, he ultimately exceeded his quota by 13 points.

A special thanks to Steve Sponder and his team at Global Golf Sales and Jim Leary, PGA at Ace Golf Technologies for their continued support of the South Florida PGA.
