Kenny Leech, PGA Teaching Professional at the
Don Law Academy secured the win this afternoon with an impressive six-under 65 at the Global Golf Sales Cup, presented by Global Golf Sales. Seventy-four PGA Professionals competed for a part of this year’s $27,000 purse at Mayacoo Lakes Country Club.
The format of the Global Golf Sales Cup is an 18-hole Stableford competition based on assigned player quotas. The objective in Stableford is to have the highest score – unlike traditional scoring methods. Players who qualified for this event were awarded a point quota determined by their 2020 Tournament Performance (stroke average) as well as input from the committee.
Leech fired a 65 to earn himself ten points for the tournament. Leech's quota was set at 40 and having scored a 50, he exceeded his quota by ten points.
Thank you to Steve Sponder and his team at Global Golf Sales and Jim Leary, PGA at Ace Golf Technologies for their continued support of the SFPGA.
