SFPGA Challenge Tour Heads to West Coast

This weekend the SFPGA hosted a Challenge Tour event at Copperleaf Golf Club. Despite a suspended second round of play on Sunday, these juniors still made the most of the event.

 

Tyler Stamerro of Naples and Graham Boone of Naples both carded a 70 on Saturday to share the overall boys 13-18 division title. Stamerro and Boone each carded four birdies during their round. In the girls 13-18 division, Ariana Silva of Fort Lauderdale took home the trophy with a one-over round 73. Silva finished her Saturday round with four birdies.

 

Bennett Stone of Palm Beach won the boys 16-18 division title with a one-under round 71. Jaeger Frost of Boca Raton finished two strokes behind Stone. Kayla Martellotti of Sebastian finished the tournament with a 79, two strokes ahead of fellow competitor Chelsea baker of Naples, to win the girls 16-18 division title. 

 

Brett Moore of Hollywood won the boys 13-15 division title after a scorecard playoff with Jack Quinn of Palm Beach Gardens. Moore and Quinn finished the tournament with an even round 72. While Quinn carded five birdies compared to Moore’s four , it came down to the final six holes for these two.  In the girls 13-15 division, Sydney Young of Naples completed her round with a three-over 75. One stroke behind Young was Jordan Knox of Fort Myers with a round of 76.
