The SFPGA Challenge Tour held its first event of the 2021 season to a sold-out field at Sandridge Golf Club this past weekend.
Jack Rosen of Boca Raton took home the boys 13-18 division title with a two-day total of 154. Despite the tough wind conditions, Rosen managed to card three birdies over the weekend. This marks Rosen’s first win on the Challenge Tour. Finishing one stroke behind Rosen was Ryan Miller of Naples. Miller carded back-to-back birdies on his first two holes during Sunday’s round and finished the day with a 75.
Polina Anisimova of Port St. Lucie won the girls 13-18 division with a two-day total of 161. Anisimova carded three birdies and 22 pars over the weekend. Finishing two strokes behind Anisimova was Annika Miller of Vero Beach. Miller carded three birdies and 21 pars for the tournament.
Cooper Foegen of Hobe Sound claimed the boys 11-12 division title after finishing nine-over-par for the weekend. Foegen shot 75 in the first round to set the pace. His round on Saturday included back-to-back birdies. Giuseppe Puebla of Royal Palm Beach finished two strokes behind Foegen with a two-day total of 155. Although Puebla led the division in most pars recorded, it was not quite enough to catch Foegen.
Bianca Gibbs of Coral Springs was the solo participant in the girls 11-12 division this weekend. Gibbs concluded the tournament with a two-day total of 177, including two birdies and 12 pars. This marks Gibbs’ first win on the SFPGA Junior Tour.
