McCarraher Qualifies for 2021 Corales Puntacana Resort & Golf Championship

Justin McCarraher, PGA Head Golf Professional at Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers, carded a 70 today at The Preserve at Ironhorse to qualify for the 2021 Corales Puntacana Resort & Golf Championship of the PGA TOUR.


After his drive on the 18th hole hit the cart path, McCarraher only had 180 yards left into the par 5 and was able to make an easy birdie. McCarraher won with a par on the first playoff hole against fellow competitor Will Coleman, PGA.


By winning the one-day Class A Qualifier, McCarraher will be the South Florida PGA representative in the Corales Puntacana Resort & Golf Championship, played March 25-28, 2021 in the Dominican Republic.


The Corales Puntacana Championship is now in its sixth season of existence and the South Florida PGA has been represented the last three years. Andrew Filbert, PGA played in 2018 and Justin Bertsch, PGA competed in 2019. Ben Cook, PGA qualified last year through this Class A Qualifier. Michael Kartrude, PGA qualified during the Monday round this past September to earn himself a spot into the 2020 event.
