The 40th Challenge Cup Matches presented by FootJoy were held at Club Pelican Bay on October 21 and 22. The Challenge Cup is a long-standing tradition between PGA Professionals from North and South Florida. The format includes a first-round four-ball match play, a second-round foursome match play and a third-round singles match play.
North Florida led the matches by one point, 3.5 to 2.5, over South Florida after the first round. South Florida evened the playing field to tie the point total at six all. After several close matches on the final day, the defending champion, North Florida PGA, took home the cup with a 13 to 11 win.
