Mitchell Holgate, PGA and Gene Fieger, PGA of Club Pelican Bay fired an 11-under 61 to capture the win at this year’s Yamaha Junior-Senior Championship at The Falls Club of the Palm Beaches.
Holgate and Fieger combined for eight birdies and two eagles on holes 13 and 15. This duo from Club Pelican Bay edged out fellow competitors Roger Kennedy, Jr., PGA and Kent Graham, PGA from Country Club at Mirasol by a single stroke.
A memorable highlight of the day included a hole-in-one on hole 16 from Austin Davenport, PGA of The Dye Preserve Golf Club.
The Yamaha Junior-Senior Championship is an 18 hole team stroke play competition where PGA Professionals from across south Florida team up with a senior PGA member (age 50 and up).
