On February 8th, during the Golf Industry Show in San Antonio, Texas, Olde Florida Golf Club's Superintendent Darren Davis, CGCS was elected the 82nd President of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
Davis served as Vice President of the CGCS in 2017 and has been a member of the association's Board of Directors since 2012. As a past president of the Florida GCSA and Florida Turfgrass Association, he is currently the Director with the Musser International Turfgrass Foundation.
He is a native of Tallahassee, FL receiving degree's from Tallahassee Community College and Florida Gulf Coast University.
"Becoming a president is a privilege that I don't take lightly...I hope I am able to give the association back even a fraction of what it's given to me, " said Davis.
We congratulate Darren on his election, and look forward to watching him lead the GCSAA.
