Quail Valley Holiday Pro-Am Raise Funds to Support the SFPGA Foundation

December 4th, 2017

ATLANTIS, FL – Today 100 PGA professionals and amateurs came together for a wonderful day of golf at Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach in an effort to help raise funds to support the South Florida PGA Foundation and the programs it administers. Through this event just over $9,000 was raised to support programs including but not limited to Habitat for Humanity, Smiling Fore Life, PGA HOPE (helping our patriots everywhere), junior golf, charitable gifting and scholarships. This year alone the South Florida PGA Foundation has impacted more than 2,200 lives through these programs, and that number continues to rise annually. The 100 individuals who participated competed on two man teams comprised of one professional and one amateur in a stableford net and gross competition. Our Champions included, Cary Sciorra, PGA Head Golf Professional at The Medalist and amateur Tom Corr who captured the net division earning 51 points, and professional Sal Spallone and amateur Bill Mallon who earned 47 points to capture the gross division. In addition to our team Champions, the low professional for the event was Brian Peaper, PGA Director of Golf at Lost Tree Club earning 41 points. This event was supported by Tire Kingdom, Linksoul, Signature Golf and Heritage Creations.
