Southwest Chapter Annual Fall Meeting of the Membership and Awards Presentation

FORT MYERS, FL - On Thursday, October 11th, the South Florida PGA Southwest Chapter conducted their Annual Fall Meeting and Awards Presentation at Legends Golf and Country Club. Over 130 members and associates gathered together to recognize the outstanding work of their fellow peers and receive a report on all Chapter business.

Congratulations to William Harley, PGA Head Golf Professional at Wildcat Run Golf and Country Club for being awarded the 2018 Golf Professional of the Year.  Along with William, 9 other PGA members received awards.

Special thanks to Jeffrey Sarver, PGA Head Golf Professional at Legends Golf and Country Club and his staff for all their support and generosity in hosting this event.

Teacher of the Year: Mark Moffatt, PGA Director of Instruction at Shadow Wood Country Club
Bill Strausbaugh Award: Mike Dopslaff, PGA General Manager at San Carlos Golf Club
Horton Smith Award: Tara McKenna, PGA Director of Florida Gulf Coast University PGA Golf Management Program
Player Development Award: Andy Scott, PGA Director of Instruction at Andy Scott School of Golf
Junior Golf Leader Award: Thomas O’Brien, PGA Teaching Professional at Impact Zone Golf Academy at Tiburon
Jeremy New Assistant of the Year Award: Sean McGinness, PGA Assistant Golf Professional at Foxfire Country Club
Merchandiser of the Year – Private Facility: Chad Perkins, PGA Head Golf Professional at The Landings Yacht and Country Club
Merchandiser of the Year – Public Facility: Joshua Ross, PGA Assistant Golf Professional at Stoneybrook Golf Course
Henry Watkins Award: Joe Stein
