Each year the South Florida PGA awards twelve deserving individuals with the following awards: Golf Professional of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Assistant of the Year, Merchandiser of the Year (Private, Public, Resort), Bill Strausbaugh, Horton Smith, Junior Golf Leader, PGA President’s Plaque, Salersperson of the Year, and the Florida State Senior Honoree. Individuals are nominated by their peers and honorees are chosen by a majority vote of the Awards Committee of the South Florida PGA. Each year the recipients are honored at the Annual Awards & Hall of Fame held in November.
This year the 2011 Awards & Hall of Fame Dinner was presented by Any Business Solution and CCS, and Pat Murphy, West Palm Beach CBS Sports Director was the EMCEE. This event was held Tuesday, November 8th at Parkland Golf & Country Club, and was a wonderful evening full of great honors.
